Key Features

Field effect technology

The user interface detects an approaching user and lights up to encourage interaction.

RGB color backlight

Customize each button’s backlight from an RGB color palette.

Supplied as two components

The Application Module contains buttons, rim, base and mounting plate, which can be mixed and matched to suit décor. The Communication Module (DACM) contains logical and network functions and can be pre-programmed off-site, allowing commissioning to commence prior to finalizing rim and button options.

Décor-matching options

Can be factory-set to DMX instead of DyNet, to communicate directly with DMX fixtures.

Product Highlights

Bold aesthetics

Revolution’s angular corners fit seamlessly with contemporary architecture, and its light and dark colour options complement a range of interior aesthetics.

  • Glass-look fascia contrasts against matte rim.
  • Structured, clear-cut layout.
  • Square formal cornering.
  • Distinct and clear buttons.

Revolution welcomes interaction

As a user approaches, the UI illuminates to encourage interaction.

  • Each button’s color can be independently configured, providing interior designers with limitless possibilities for customization.
  • The buttons can be programmed to change color in response to presses, user proximity, or other predetermined network events.
  • The backlit buttons fade when Revolution is not in use, conserving energy and reducing light pollution.

A user-friendly interface

The UI has appealing proportions, with large, tactile buttons and generous space for labelling in a choice of languages and iconography.

  • Revolution can easily be used by people with low vision or limited dexterity.
  • Each button press provides a strong tactile and visual response to the user, confirming their choice.

Revolution is extremely durable

  • All surfaces have been specially developed to withstand the use of hospital-grade disinfectants and cleaning agents.
  • The fascia is scratch-resistant, anti-fingerprint and incredibly durable, allowing the panel to maintain its as-new appearance for years.

Modular architecture

Revolution’s modular design uses a single back panel to accommodate the two-, four-, and eight-button variants, streamlining production and reducing the product cost.

This modularity allows individual components to be upgraded as required, without the need to replace the entire UI.

Modularity also provides interior designers with the opportunity to experiment with different button arrangements, colour combinations, custom engraving, and backlight options, without delaying the installation of the communication module (DACM).

Revolution is in tune with its environment

  • Revolution has a temperature and humidity sensor to provide BMS with real-time feedback.
  • Installed at approximately shoulder height, Revolution takes readings at the same level that people occupy.
  • By placing Revolution in each key room within a building, the building management system receives more data points to accurately adjust the HVAC system.

Smart and sustainable

Revolution reinforces a long-held belief by Philips Dynalite: that progress forward should not come at the expense of the customer or the environment.

  • Built-in hardware and firmware is entirely compatible with all other Philips Dynalite products, past and present.
  • Revolution’s mounting size and terminal location are also aligned with industry standards, making it incredibly easy and affordable to install.

Integration at your fingertips

Revolution’s development was heavily driven by the desire to create a premium end-user experience.

One push of a button in an office, hotel, or residential setting can simultaneously control lighting, blinds, AV systems, and projectors. At a moment’s notice the room’s occupants can set the scene for the task they’re about to perform or moment they’re about to enjoy.

The possibilities are endless.
