Recap our Special Awards

Future is in Sight, Guide Dogs Victoria
by Lightmoves

Innovation Award

The addition of Braille on the Antumbra user interfaces was an exceptionally innovative way to give people with low vision or limited dexterity control over their environment.

This, paired with the bespoke lighting scenes tailored for each client to suit their unique vision requirements, was exceptional.

The facility has a high turn over of vision impaired residents who live at the facility short term while they are matched with guide dogs. The control solution therefore had to be intuitive and easy to operate by new users. Lightmoves set up internal webpages on the PDEG that allow the Guide Dog team to change and save the lighting level presets depending on the unique needs of each guest.

Integration Award

bluebottle’s work at Flight Club is a best-in-class example of integration that streamlines operations for staff and elevates guest experience. From custom lighting, to AV and especially the integration to the client’s proprietary dart board system, all of this was done with the utmost precision and attention to detail.

Eidra
by Control Department AB

Human-centric Design Award

Through close consultation, Control Department challenged their client’s expectations of what a lighting control and building automation system could be and implemented clever programming that follows a consistent logic throughout the entire building, allowing staff to feel confident in using the system.

Since the office frequently hosts events and client meetings, it was crucial for occupants to have the ability to manually override the daily lighting schedule and activate special lighting scenes.

During the day, daylight sensors adjust the office lighting to ensure optimal brightness and support productivity among employees. In the evening, however, many prefer a softer, more homely ambiance. Since significant time and resources were invested in creating the perfect atmosphere in the shared spaces, it was essential that Control Department maintained and enhanced that exact feeling.

Sustainability Award

We know that lighting control in its nature, has the ability to support sustainability outcomes by reducing unnecessary power consumption from lighting and other building systems.

In their submission, Elektron Group clearly communicated how their implementation of the Dynalite system contributed to the 4 Star Green Star Rating. Smart design, use of sustainable building practices, and a platform for easy monitoring and maintenance, this project has it all.

Scalability Award

Modernlite divided the museum into multiple lighting zones, implementing per-zone control, allowing staff to adjust lighting in individual exhibits without affecting the entire museum.

The digitally addressable lighting groups can be reconfigured as the venue’s needs change. A storage area today can easily become a temporary gallery or interactive learning space tomorrow, without rewiring any lights or control circuits.

Project of the Year

Across all of the marking criteria, The Grand Egyptian Museum received consistently high scores from all of the judges. We believe this is an expert implementation of the Dynalite system that is impressive on many fronts, from its design and aesthetics, to functionality, sustainability, integration to third-party systems, and more.

On behalf of the Dynalite team, we are honored that our system was selected to not only showcase, but preserve some of humanity’s most precious artefacts. What a great achievement to Modernlite and everyone who worked on this project.
