In addition to its long-held ISO 9001 certificate, Philips Dynalite now has two additional ISO certifications for Environmental Management and Occupational Health and Safety Managment.
The International Organization for Standardization (ISO) is a global organization that develops and publishes international standards, which are voluntary guidelines for various industries and sectors. These standards help to ensure consistency and quality in products and services, and promote trade and cooperation between different countries.
Many projects require compliance to these standards, as proof that the manufacturer is achieving excellent baseline quality, and/or other criteria such as environmental stewardship or the commitment to workplace health and safety.
In addition to its long-held ISO 9001 certificate, Philips Dynalite was recently certified to the addition standards of ISO 14001 for Environmental Management and ISO 45001 for Occupational Health and Safety Management. To qualify for these certifications, Dynalite’s processes, procedures, and documentation were externally audited to confirm adherence to the standards. The audits included all local departments from product management, development, testing, procurement, operations, and manufacturing.
Tommy Wong, Quality Manager for Philips Dynalite, shared the significance of this new certification.
“Dynalite has always maintained a strong commitment to Quality, having been awarded our ISO 9001 status since 2008. These new certifications provide us with a true ISO Integrated Management System, that in turn provides a stronger assurance to our customers that our processes meet strict sustainability criteria, and that our staff work together with management to create a safe work environment that we can all be proud of.”
